The Human Bean recently helped to fuel the Habitat Heroes Project, headed up by Leadership Fort Collins and numerous other local businesses to create a garden for the Sister May Alice Murphy Center for Hope. The Murphy Center is a local organization that offers helping hands to individuals in our community who are homeless or are at risk of being homeless with resources and long-term guidance on self-sufficiency.

Their new pollinator garden features over 220 plants, a brand-new irrigation system, shade and rock benches for guests to sit and enjoy nature. The garden has fruit plants, vegetables, trees, and native flowers that help attract pollinators to the natural area. Guests can help cultivate the plants as well as eat them once they are fully developed.

The Human Bean donated some of our tasty drinks to fuel the volunteer staff while they built the garden.
