You may have noticed some special guests if you went through a Human Bean stand on February 6, 2016. From 9am to 1pm, gals of The Girl Scouts of Northern Colorado sold their infamously addictive cookies at all six Human Bean stands while also serving as Guest Baristas throughout the day.
Ten percent of the day’s sales, which totaled to $1,600, was donated to the Girl Scouts to fund various community service projects. At the top of their project list is their “buddy bench” project. These benches will be assembled by the Girl Scouts using raw materials and supplies. Once completed, the girls plan to place benches at senior centers and other community locations that need some livening up.
The remaining money will allow the Girl Scouts to donate their delicious cookies to other groups throughout the community, including Meals on Wheels and local Fire Stations.
