The COVID-19 pandemic has had a tremendous negative impact on our community. Local organizations are seeing unprecedented demand for help within our communities.
The demand for food assistance from ACCESS, the local Community Action Agency and Regional Food Bank of Jackson County, has increased by 60% in recent weeks. ACCESS is distributing close to 100,000 pounds of food weekly and the need continues to grow. ACCESS serves 1 in every 4 residents of Jackson County and helped more than 52,000 residents in 2019.
The Human Bean also has a long history of partnering with local organizations and giving back. We continue to focus on providing authentic human connections…with a bean on top.
Because of our commitment to the communities we serve in Oregon, our goal is to provide over 60,000 meals for those in need. To do this, The Human Bean of Jackson County locations will be donating $1 to ACCESS for every beverage sold on Thursdays, during the month of April.
With every $1 donation, ACCESS of Jackson County is able to provide 4 meals. Together we can make a difference.
