GREELEY, COLORADO – The Human Bean is devoted to supporting local programs that serve those living and working in the northern Colorado community. On Thursday January 14, The Human Bean will host a children’s book drive and a guest barista fundraiser to benefit the Assistance League of Greeley, a local chapter of National Assistance League, whose members identify, implement and fund ongoing philanthropic programs to serve specific needs within their communities. The Human Bean is offering double punches to customers’ loyalty cards for donating a children’s book on January 14.

“Every member of this community deserves the opportunity to thrive and reach their potential,” said Frank Sherman, owner of The Human Bean. “One’s future success should be determined by goals and achievements, rather than on the availability of educational resources.”

Books, for children ages pre-school to 5th grade, can be dropped off at The Human Bean’s Greeley Plaza stand at 2610 W. 10th Street.

Books collected will be distributed to families with children at the Sunrise Dental Center, through an Assistance League program called Operation School Bell. Operation School Bell promotes reading and a love of books for young children by allowing preschool and elementary age kids to hand-select a book to take home and read with their families. Since 2013, Operation School Bell has given out nearly 1,100 books to children in Greeley.
